What is happening in Hungary?

I know that Czech currently has its problems and shooting has stopped but is the same the case in Hungary?

Hungary seems to have suddenly dropped off the map in the world of adult entertainment. Go back a few years and new talent was appearing in Hungary on a weekly basis and now there seems to be none.

I cannot think of a big named rising star from Hungary. Go back a few years and you had hardcore models such as the likes of Sandra Irons, Julia Taylor, Michelle Wild, Maya Gold, Christina Bella, Dora Mesoraz, Victoria Swinger, Mya Diamond, Eve Angel, Jasmine Gold, Nikki Rider, etc (yes, some of those models are still active and some are now girl girl only). That list is of models who started out over two years ago.....

Who is a recent Hungarian model that is making the news?

Look at machomedia for example. Once a site that was updated usually up to two or three times a day and now... well, the last update on there was the Szeged Festival on 17th June.

Kovi was generally knocking out one or two big trilogy movies each year with a multitude of magazine DVD's and Luxx only branded movies. Recently, he has been releasing compliation stuff of older scenes and there has been no magazine release in almost a year.

Focusz seems to have vanished from existance also. Previously they were knocking out a lot of movies each year and now they seem to have dried up too.

Tom Media are also not doing much (I did just notice this on their site and I do not understand Hungarian fluently, but I certainly hope Cony is okay after this accident http://www.erotikahirek.hu/hirek/hozzaszol/2007/conymotor/conymotor.html).

So, does anyone know whats going on in Hungary. Is Hungary no longer a porn capital?

seems you are out of the biz long time or you don't check EBI and you're totally wrong!
Hungary is still the capital of euro porn(all the studios shot there)and in 2006-2007 we have HUNDREDS Hungarian new hardcore models who are very beautiful and love the hard way.
even Julia Taylor,Christina Bella,Mya Diamond,Dora Venter,Rita Faltoyano,Simony Diamond e.t.c. are active(hardcore of course) and Szilvia Lauren did her first dp scene a few weeks ago.
but forget the past and Kovi(i never liked his soft movies) as the future is the 21 Sextury and their models who do anal and dp from the first day!

for my opinion Czech is down this year and not Hungary.

I don't regard 21st as a movie studio making HQ movies. I think of them as a website outfit making gonzo scenes which is not a criticism in anyway, its just the genre that I personally place them (same as the perfect gonzo sites, ddf, etc). Sure there are a ton of websites still making 20 mins gonzo clips in Hungary but I was not really interested in that. Most of the models who do the gonzo stuff are doing it really for a fast buck and not to become a big named star.

Which directors in Hungary are producing now for Private and with what fresh new models? The big high quality straight to DVD scenes that have a bit of a story line.

Not the hire a house typical website scenario, do three scenes at a time (one in the bathroom, one in the frontroom, one in the bedroom) until 9-12 scenes are done and then leave affair which appears to be what your suggesting categorises Hungary as the capital of porn. Thats kinda like saying that Danni.com stuff is on par with Digital Playground in the US

I wont repeat myself, so shortly:
The problem is not the countries but overall tendency for making fast money in "show&disappear" style. Even if the girls years back didnt want to be a star, they showed up in too much movies that they became stars in porn fan's eyes. Now the girl disappear sooner that porn fans can even start to adore them, u know one or two poor movies is not enough.

Look back, czech stars who started from 2001 to 2003 did TONS of hard movies, multiple anals, dps, daps and what not. That makes them famous too. Look now how much very hot girls make more then 10 movies?

On the other side if the question sounds like: Is there in Hungary or Czech a lot of work opportunities in porn now? The answer is definitely yes! Has she decided deliberately not to try to win any awards because she does not believe in them or thinks they are all fixed ? But, if she entered them, they would be fixed for her to win, or she would win by popular vote anyway.

But I suppose the awards are devalued because people think they are all fixed, and apparently, most of them are.
