In Spain clients don't get punished. So that is something less stupid than France

France is not the only country to punish clients of prostitutes: Norway, Iceland, UK, Sweden do the same.
The law is in application since April 2016, and after one year, less 900 clients have been punishend with a fine between 150 and 500€.
