When do porn videos get released after filming is done?

I'm talking about porn videos from back in the 2000s. Like those private videos with Lucy Lee etc. When I check iafd, lot of them show a year but rarely the date. Some sites show the year it was released and some videos if you could look at the back cover, it would state the date of production such as the exact date. So say it's 5 scenes in 1 dvd, it might show 5 different dates.


I got to assume almost all movies are not released until at least several weeks later? It probably might be 1 month later? But what about sites like legalporno, brazzers etc where they aren't releasing dvd's but it's subscription and streaming based?


I would like to know from back in the 2000s though. Lot of films would show 2007 but when you check that same video on a dvd site, if you check the back of the dvd screenshot, it might show produced on certain month and 2006 etc.

Another question I have is this. When it says the date production of a film is 01/12/06, does that mean January 12, 2006 or does it mean December 1, 2006? I got to assume if it's US company, it's the first but if it's European, it's the other one?


I checked a film from adultdvdempire where it says release date is December 13, 2006. The date in production in the back of that dvd screenshot shows 1/12/06 so obviously that means the date of production of these films was done on December 1, 2006 so about 2 weeks prior right?


However, the thing is lot of films probably aren't released months or maybe a year later back then? Or it always was released within a month at the most?

These things do not matter, there are lots of time where a scene got canned at a certain time and scenes were released maybe a year later though the standard duration at least for production cos is a our a month to two months from filming to release. But there is no hard and fast rule.
