Maya was unique, I reckon. But she retired early, as far as I can make out, and perhaps did not have the ambition to become the major star she might have been, or is that down to something else ?

Kovi is known for always pushing just one girl at a time. Kind of his superstar concept.
Still, if Maya really wanted, she could have just changed the company.

Pushing one girl at a time like Kovi does to create a superstar can backfire, because as soon as you get them there, something happens to make them retire; such as Michelle Wild gets pregnant; Maya retired (maybe because she met someone who wanted her to quit, or maybe other reasons); and now Victoria Swinger is retired, apparently, but I don't know her reasons (maybe she's met someone like Maya did).

That leaves Kovi standing there, not holding the baby, having to create a new superstar.
