Yes but the vast majority of models know at the start of their careers whether they will do hardcore and it normally happens in the first 6 (3?) months. Very few girls turn hardcore after 3 years only doing nudes. There are only a few I can think of who made the switch after that sort of time ( Lola/Dido Angel , Monique Alexander and maybe 1 or 2 others).
