When you're about to click on "Delete Volume" make sure it's the right hard disk.

deleted volumes can be recovered easily... it's just a logical state in the tables. Now if you low formatted afterwards, or created a partition on top of it then copied stuff, that's another story

I've never done that.
I have, however, accidentally knocked an external HD over while it was running & not noticed.

500gb mix of Pron, music & movies.... gone. :cry:

Luckily I had some of it backed up, but I remember the feeling when I found it & rebooted, only to find it was making a buzzing noise & was no longer accessible....
Feels like when part of your Digestive biscuit falls in to your near full cup of tea: It's ruined & you are powerless to do anything about it !!!!

Me I recently discovered to have lost the first nasty pics taken early 00s and saved :roll: in a Floppy Disk... :shock:

It's the most frustrating thing ever, isn't it. I've always managed to recover most part of it, the times it has happened.

I can imagine, how you feel. It's like losing a close Friend....i wouldn't want to life anymore without my External HD...
