Just started watching the old Sci-Fi/Horror flick "Event Horizon".
It doesn't look that bad...

Ok...sort of "Hellraiser" but in a spaceship...i've seen worst.

"Event Horizon" is more of a horror movie than a sci-fi movie. After all the internal decor of the craft was designed to resemble the crypts and churches that feature in more normal horror movies and being in space is a far better explanation of why they can't get help than all contrived ways of getting the cast cut off that they usually use.

PS if you want to watch a really crap movie try "Turkey Shoot"

Yep...in truth "Event Horizon" is not that bad at all.
There are also some nice sci-fi elements in the beginning like the way the "Gravitational Engine" works.
Just a bit too much of "hellraiser" toward the end.

"Alien Vs. Predator 2" wich i've just seen, for example, is light years worst.

You say "Turkey Shoot" ??
How does it relate to the aforementioned "The Spirit" and "Daredevil" in the crap parade ?

I haven't seen The Spirit (and I guess I don't want to) but Daredevil is hugely better than Turkey Shoot.

To demonstrate how bad Turkey Shoot was consider the bombing mission. In the film the there is a prison for political prisoners in a fictional 1984 like state. The authorities decide to kill them all so they bomb the place. This was done using archive news real footage rather than special effects. The result was that as the plane was taking off it was an F4 Phantom but as it was flying along it was a B52 and when it dropped the bombs it had turned into an F111

Ps I managed to sit through that but gave up on "Plan 9 From Outer Space" and fell asleep during "Santa Claws Conquers the Martians"

I have seen Plan 9 well about half because it was boring and bad
Spirit has no excuse it has Budget.Actors who can act(if they wanted to) but somehow everything goes VERY VERY WRONG
I mean when Eva Mendes and Scarlett Johanson cannot save it(not that they appear to try)
In fact I wonder if they were even lucid(stoned out of their minds?)
In fact as a stoner film it might be watchable, no not even intoxicants can save it
simply the worst POS I have seen oh it is right up there with Episode One and Transformers 2
