Thanks for the link, I'll read it in full when I have time but what I have read is interesting.
I'm from the UK, so I suspect I'll be getting one of these through my door any day now. You see, just like 'Helen' & 60 year old 'Mary' I too don't watch porn so I'm bound to be guilty of this!!
Just seems like DigiProtect are a scam themselves!
It looks to be centered on the filesharing networks like bittorrent. These alow you to download but they then also alow other people to share those files from your pc. For this to happen other PC's would need to know your IP number. The references to the downloads all refer to filesharing and bittorrent etc.
If you just download s couple of images from imagevenue for instance unless they catch you while your transfering the files they won't even know you've done it. They also seem to have shot themselves in the foot by accusing lots of innocent people. This will reduce the credability of their evidence.
My guess is it will just prove to be a one off item that makes no real difference.
I still hope it will scare off people stealing porn and finally make them pay for it. By stealing it porn fans also shoot into their own foot, because they prevent producers to earn the money to invest into new productions. Think we owe more to our cute Eurobabes!
