"In everyday life there is no such thing as good or evil. "
You've obviously never read the Q'uran. I have a copy. I read it after 911 out of curiosity. I think making sacraments of murdering people because they don't accept Islam is evil. Remember that the country in which you are sitting was invaded by Muslims more than once. For all the hoopla and revisionist history about the crusades, it's conveniently forgotten that the Islamics slew most of north Africa, entered Europe from both ends and were finally stopped in France by Charles Martell and at the Gates of Vienna by the Poles under Stanislaus at the price of incredible slaughter. The slaughter has never ended. Some 40 million dead and 100+ countries invaded over 1400 years. Only socialism has killed more- 110 mil to a quarter billion. I think one can say without fear of contradiction that that is evil. The crusades were a natural reaction to the terrible suffering and death most of the native populations of N Africa and the Near East as well as exacting retribution for the invasions of Europe.
The rediscovery of Islam's true spirit as mohammed and his immediate successor understood it in the last 30 years could be considered the reawakening of a great evil. After all, most of the invasions I just spoke of happened within 100 years of the start of Islam. After that, they fell back into factions and fought each other once again, for which the rest of the world can be devoutly thankful. When they unite, as they did in Islam's first century, and as they are uniting since the Islamic Revolution began in 1979, anything is possible.
