Where to buy? Are there any special sellers you might suggest?
Useful links?
Tips on prices and different versions?
I'm not looking for a mint 1964 piece of expensive antique, of course.

http://www.mercatinomusicale.com

Sorry for the italian guys...

This one I really dig and I could actually buy:

J Mascis talks about his Fender® Jazzmaster® Guitar

that he actually plays in the video for "Been There All The Time" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iEClvr1O44Q&feature=related (while Coco Moore is playing a Jag, right?).

Cool guitar !!!
I like the soapbar stile pickups of the jazzmaster more than the standard single coil of the jaguar

Seems like the J Mascis model is already fitted with the "Mustang style bridge" wich should be more solid
than the standard one...

Ok i'll ask my band's guitar player about this one model
But definitely it looks like a good guitar.
great color also...

Coco's guitar looks like a Jaguar with an Humbucker pickup fitted in the bridge
position in place for the standard single coil for a more aggressive sound.
That's why all the lower switches has become useless and are covered with the red tape.

Also the neck pickup looks different...no visible poles on it.

Heavy customization...
Like father like daughter

There is also a Lee Renaldo Jazzmaster, he's truly my hero, but the J Mascis model is a beauty (and affordable).

Look at Lee and Thurston's Jazzmasters at the top of the page :).

Thurston one's great.
It shows the signs of some really heavy battles. :)

"Also sprach" my guitar player....

Merci you.
