The best way to ignore the post of this spamming asshole !

Click on the Author of the post, if you see that it's his first post and he has joined the same day or one day before you can ignore his posts.
Also this dumb asshole always adds the url of his Spam Website, Occupation and Interest. Looks like this asshole becomes more aggressive than ever before, but if nobody clicks his link he will loose interest of spamming the forum maybe.
Sbando, it seems to be hard to banish this asshole, because he logs in with a new alias again and again ?

They use bots nowadays, so banning a specific ip/username doesn't help that much.
As Steve and others have pointed out, there are ways to secure phpBB better but I don't think it's worth it.

I delete like 3-4 spams a day. Costs me about 20 seconds

i feel like you guys are doing a good job noting and deleting spam as i don't see much of it on here at all.

one suggestion would be increasing the number of people who are able to delete spam? i realise such priviledges are open to abuse but you could restrict those who have the power to only people who have posted more than 150 times or something. might take some of the workload off yourselves. just a suggestion anyway.

keep up the good work.

hmmm, .....

... thanks for the kind words and of course thanks for your input.

Far as I see it, so far spam is handled quite well around here. Unless it increases to the utmost, I personally rather would stay with the team that is here right now. People you know and people yo can trust.

Would a +150 posting average mean trustworthy in general? How many posts did wcup and bangboom (or whatever his nickname was) have?

Just asking....
