I remember back at ADT when people would top the same chart with 1200 posts (including all the mods and Steph and Drew). Then all of a sudden maniacs and freaks started to post 100 messages a day and it lost any sense.

I agree. I am prolific but there are several posters that are always surprising me for the quality of the posts as Chris and many others...

It is unfortunate that Dither and John Thomas do not post at EBI.

I always enjoyed their eloquent and intelligent contributions at ADT.

Sbando, wouldn't it be a great idea if you invited the more interesting posters at ADT to come to EBI, so that we can have broader and more in-depth discussions e.g. on mathematics and science and art and religion and American politics etc?

...yes ! And why not quantic mechanics (with Doda as forum moderator), overviews on biomicrofluids and developments on nanotechnologies.
Besides any jokes, everybody is free to post/discuss whatever is not going against anybody's else freedom but let's stick to our (at least mine) main interest...

PS That's pussy is Nella's

You know, Croy was a bit of a sad case at ADT. He was an American Asian. English was not his first language. Often he did not fully understand another poster's writing, and then his response was off the mark. He thought highly of himself, as if he were an intellectual with universal knowledge. He would jump into almost every thread to give his "expert" opinion, IMO not always the wisest decision. When challenged by better-informed posters, he often went berserk and started attacking the other poster. He hated my guts in particular, and for some time he even stalked me at ADT. He tracked my posts and would ridicule each one of them, irrespective of what I had written.

As the most prolific poster he belonged to the Inner Circle at ADT, i.e. he had a priveleged position. He could break the forum rules with impunity. And he did so on many occasions.

He was a right-wing person; pro-military and intensily pro-American, pro-Israel and anti-muslim. He automatically dismisssed any suggestion that American soldiers might have killed (large numbers of) innocent civilians in Iraq and Afghanistan. He was not bothered at all by the Abu Ghraib scandal or CIA rendition flights. When cornered, he would make claims like: "America may not be perfect, but the Romans and the Vikings did even worse things!"

I remember a thread about a woman who was raped on the street, then arrested by police on some old outstanding warrant, brought to prison, where she was not given any treatment for the rape (i.e. the prison staff denied her a morning-after pill). Croy argued at length that the police and the prison staff had done their job perfectly well and that the mishap was entirely the victim's own fault. Even some American posters (Bill, Hardware) thought this was getting bizarre.

European posters considered Croy one of the creapier guys on ADT. In the end his account was not deactivated (as it should have been), but he decided to quit for personal reasons. I believe he currently works as a cleaner in a McDonalds restaurant somewhere in the Bible Belt.

R.I.P. Croy
