the rise of Asia and the decline of the West

On Dutch television there is a thought provoking series of programs about the (rapid) rise to power of non-Western countries in the world. Yesterday I watched an hour long interview with the Singaporese intellectual Kishore Mahbubani, whose new book "The new Asian hemisphere" has just been published.

I was very impressed by the interview. Mahbubani is a soft-spoken erudite person, who makes many interesting observations about our changing word and who is not afraid to challenge Western dogmas.

The interview for Dutch television is as yet not available online. However, I found a quite similar interview on YouTube. I highly recommend watching the following hour long program.
