I think I can speak for most of us, and when I say “us” I mean the old guard, the ones who were there at PL’s beginnings and then at PB’s beginnings and the golden age, when I say that we are eager for the come back of the old ways, meaning a studio as a professional environment which is the opposite of a cozy apartment, a large quantity of bukkakeros all present at the moment of shooting, and of course a session shot in one go, no pauses.

So the big question is does PB really intend to go back to the old format as soon as possible?

It's an interesting theory, but so far very hypothetical, as the pandemic is still going on. I think the simple answer to your final big question is that we just have to wait and see.

So far I can not say I see anything that clearly points in the direction you speculate in, besides the more "gentle and kind" PB we have now compared to the raw and nasty original scenes. But as for getting back to shooting the scenes in one continuous take they are slowly moving in the right direction, with more guys and longer continuous takes of about 20-25 loads instead of the previous 10 loads.

And I wonder what you refer to by PB shifting to the LP style, because I see no similarities there, or tendencies to move in that direction (thank god).
