Extra assistants on the goal lines in football....

Why?
Putting extra officials on the park is only going to see more free kicks to the defending team and perhaps one or two less wrong decisions on penalties and offside. In any case whether we care to admit it or not part of the appeal of football is the injustice of a wrong decision. It gives fans something to get animated about. On top of this the overturning of the Eduardo of Arsenal ban for diving in the Champions League qualifiers shows that when the big boys chuck their toys out the pram the governing body doesn't have the balls to stick to it's guns.
This is being tried out in the Europa League this season. When the referee still has the final say it's a bit of a nonsense - witness the number of decisions which linesmen get correct only for the Ref to decide to over rule them.
What does my fellow football fans on the forum from throughout Europe think?
