But performers should be able to bargain for basic standards etc. And maybe it will deflect government intervention & over-regulation in the future, cause you know they're already trying to get their mitts on a bigger piece of the pie. For example, in France condoms could be done away with (i'm assuming it's a govt regulation) if there were a rigorous testing regime...

Thanks, Dunia! From my viewpoint everybody need to have a choice. Performers also need to have a choice, how they want to work (with or without condoms). The other thing is that viewers wishes become much more and more important. Some years ago famous american company "VIVID" refused from mandatory condom usage in their films. Condoms are dispensable, but performers can use them. Yet most of videos is made without condoms. I think it is not a fortuity. If some Brazilian studio make commercial - "Sem camisinha ", it mean that their viewers want to see it. For producers there is no sense to make the stuff, which they can not sell! Every producer want to sell more!
As viewer I can understand, why some performers use condom in film, but I will not buy the things, which are not interesting for me. Logically! If condoms would be mandatory, it would not change the situation. If porn with condoms is boring for viewer, he will not buy this stuff. He will buy action film.

What do you think about it? Do you think that condoms are the only way, how to make porn industry safer? What do you think about fans attitude? What you think about business aspects of this problem?

Cleopatrox, I think we have to separate the small local Brasilian porn market and Brasilian porn made for larger (US/worldwide) distribution.
The latter wont sell with condoms and therefore more and more producers pay a bit more (for tests, too) to get what sells.
Within Brasil many producers take the easy and faster road without testing, just using condoms. Some of these dvds sell outside, but it`s a marginal fetish thing.
Luckyly for everybody involved in most places in Brasil complete tests are available. And condoms are not mandatory.

Dunia, I think is right, but idealizing Brasil like most emigrees. The way her gangbang was made, is the way to go if a company wants to stay in the biz and play safe at the same time.

For me it is difficult to answer because I speak little English, but I admit that a movie without condom is more interesting for fans.
