Personalised mainpage?

What are the chances of having a personalised mainpage? Could this be done?
On a regular basis I probably only visit half of the subforums. I know it's not an important issue, I just feel it'd be a good option to have. You only see those subforums that you choose to see.
At the top our own page there could be a link to see the full main page in its entirety.
Thoughts, or am I just crazy?

I will have a look at available extension modules for phpBB just in case there is one which does what you want (or something similar)
