Yeah, here in America it is totally different. A retired porn star could go to a number of big cities or tourist spots and continue to make decent money for a good while. Florida, California, New York. Lots of places to keep the money coming in. They will even advertise that a big name porn star will be coming to strip for a weekend or two and the bars fill up with fans and people who want to see that person in the flesh. I'm not sure of all the legal reasons why a European porn star could not come to the US on a work VISA and earn some great money. Guys would kill to see a Julia Silver come to the states to retire as a stripper / escort. Maybe this is too difficult or the effort to acquire the VISA takes too long to process, but it's sad to hear that the eurobabes don't make the bank that they should. I dated a stripper in college for about 6 months. She would make $400 - $600 a night working Thrusday, Friday and Saturday from 8:00PM to 2:00AM. 18 hours a week and she was making $1,200 - $1,800 ( U.S dollars ) every week. It was just part time to help pay for school, but she was making $65,000 a year. The real money was in the "private dances" or you could pay her to "have a drink" with you. Working the stage was only a fraction of what they could earn. Bachelor parties would come in and guys would chip in big bucks to embarrass the groom to be. Of course she was one of the better looking dancers so she averaged more then some of the others, but all the girls were making enough to pay the bills. Whats the scene like over in Europe? Is there no money in the strip club industry over there?
