Soccer superstar David Beckham has beaten off competition from actor Matt Damon to be named the Most Masculine Man Alive. The British hunk, who is married to Posh Spice Victoria Beckham, topped an online poll created by website AskMen.com. More than one million people took part in the vote to find the Top 49 Men today. Coming in third behind Beckham and Damon is rapper Timbaland, followed by tennis star Roger Federer and Justin Timberlake.

Lets face it though, if Matt Damon had been named Most Masculine Man Alive, I am afraid it does not look good for the men of this world.

Then again with Beckham winning it, it does not look that rosey either.

I am sure there are a fair few guys in Iraq and Afghanistan who would be more than happy to put that to the test though. Lets hope he has to prove the title against some special forces and elite troopers. I seem to remember that Beckham spends most of his time ill from injury and all he does all day is kick a sodding football.
