Reached back for the bottle, And rubbed against the lamp
Genie came out smiling, Like some Eastern tramp
He said, hey boy what's happening, What is going on
You can have three wishes, If you don't take too long

I said well, I wish they were all happy in the Lebanon
Wish somebody'd help me write this song
And I wish when I was young, My old man had not been gone
Genie said consider it done.

There's something in the air, And you don't know what it is
You see someone through the window, Who you've just learned to miss
And the road leads on to glory, but you used up your last wish, Your last wish
And you want her to come home.

Genie said I'm sorry, That's the way it goes
Where the hell's the lamp sucker, It's time for me to go
Bye...

Don't keep quiet, just 'cos you think you ought to
Feel free to shout it loud, speak your mind, spit it out...

I saw Collins, when he still played the drums for a prog band and also
with Brand X in Marquee London (there aren´t good clips from that time)

First i saw Shirley Manson, when she was with Goodbye Mr. Mackensie, supporting Xmal Deutschland on a UK tour;
the band had one minor UK hit, The Rattler, but as a live band, well...

With lyrics cause it's well deserved...

The sweat had sunk into his sheet, The moon was lighting up the street
He pictured her in some strange place, bathing in some stranger's heat
If heaven's you, then hell is me

He closed his eyes to better see, All images taking turns
Then suddenly like in a dream, He's watching him, touching her

And knowing well the earth will rebel, And knowing about nature's curse
But that was just a bad excuse, There wasn't even much to lose
So many lives that he could choose, He chose the wrong one, now he's thinking...

Inside, outside, You're tearing me
For the love of your skin, Just tell me where have you been
Inside, outside, You're tearing me
And it don't mean a thing, Just tell me where have you been
Is this the dark setting in ?

Imagination if you dare, Can take you almost everywhere
He's howling like a lonely wolf, But acting like something scared
This is not happening, god set me free

He tried to hold the clamour down, Silence never seemed so loud
He never looked for what he found, Another storm behind the clouds

Inside, outside, You're tearing me
For the love of your skin, Just tell me where have you been
Inside, outside, You're tearing me
And it don't mean a thing, Just tell me where have you been

Feelings come and feelings go, But no one really wants to know this one, baby
You can trust it like your meanest friend, It don't suck up, it don't pretend
Like a big slow motion accident, It will fuck you right up in the end
Now watch it...
She had that Camarillo Brillo, flamin' out along her head...
