Boohoo

It's really hard to feel sorry for the porn industry.

For one thing, it's overextended itself greatly, with hundreds of new outfits trying for the same dollars.

For another, 2007 saw a dramatic drop in the quality of women. Most of the women were below average in looks and as has often been said in the computer biz- garbage in, garbage out. To bring in women who frequently look absolutely awful (a few exceptions like Lucky or Bijou) and then expect people to put down money for it is a joke. (I note in passing that I have never "file-shared" via torrent or other nonsense and don't plan to). The trend is similar to the modeling industry of the early 1990s where women were picked for slender bodies, but frequently had faces that would stop clocks.

Take http://www.eurobabeindex.com/sbandoindex/thumbs_a.html. Half of those women showed up in 2007. Most of those are far less good looking than the average woman one meets in daily life. Why on earth would I put down money to see women who are below average?

Just 3 years ago, many of the new faces were quite pretty. Now, maybe a dozen out of the entire year are, with a hundred women who are carbon copies of each other, their only distinguishing characteristic being homeliness.

Get your act together, industry and we will buy.
