How to increase private message inbox?

I have a total of 200 messages stored of 200. So whenever i receive any new message, i have to delete old ones.


Is there a way to increase private message storage in inbox without deleting old messages?

you could archive the old messages

Can you explain how to do this? So what does archiving it does? Would it free up more space for private messages?
