Small addendum

-------
According to a United Nations report smuggling and exportation of coltan, an ore which contains tantalum, helped fuel the war in the Congo, a crisis that has resulted in approximately 5.4 million deaths since 1998 – making it the world’s deadliest documented conflict since WW II.

------

I was out by 3.4 million deaths in my above post.

Well spoken. My wife is from uUKraine so I am very aware of the sentiment there regarding Russia's/US's role in WWII. The believe they would have won by themselves but they are forgetting the lend lease program that was supplying them via their northern regions. They probably would have prevailed but the war would have continued into the 1950s. The allies removing Hitler's airforce was probably the US/Britons greatest contribution.

As for the slaughter in Africa...one of the things that makes America great is it's armed populace. If the entire world was disarmed [like the NWO wants] then it can be more easily controlled. A pity these people cannot fight back with superior firepower than machetes.

I am disappointed that the US does not help people like this that "truly" need help

Because there is no money in it. Who would get rich by helping the African nations? There is very little they can offer. Now, we, as Americans, have been to the Middle East countless times to inject our way of life and our demands on peoples who don't want us too. Would we have gone over to help Kuwait fend off the Iraqis if they weren't sitting on a pile of oil? Heck no. Would we have gone into Iraq for "weapons of mass destruction" if they weren't sitting on a pile of oil? No.
Everyday, there is an article or story of the mindless savagery happening somewhere in Africa. Why doesn't someone say enough is enough? Nobody's rushing in to stop it. Why? No money to be made.
We are in the Middle East because they have what we need. Look at the two who are in the White House now. Both oil men. Both probably getting kickbacks or somehow making money hand over fist while we are there. Our "elected" representatives do not "represent" the will of the people they "serve". They represent the special interests groups, who in turn represent....money.

People shouldn't be afraid of their governments, governments should be afraid of their people.
