Great lyrics and great heavy rock music.

Great...great song.
The guitar solo at the end is a masterpiece...
He hits like 5 or 6 notes alone...and blows away tons of speedy soulless guitarists.
this is class...

Amazing solo piece.
I love my rock music, it gives you a buzz. Brother In Arms is the sort of music I'd chill to.

Dire Straits were a great band...
When i started playing bass in the 80' i've basically grown up doing covers of their songs...
Oh well their and Pink Floyd's also

This is another great song of theirs:

I can see why, great instrumentals.

My mate used to do covers of Eric Clapton. Sometimes he'd get so carried away we'd be late for work!

Living Color were a great project on paper, fantastic musicians but too much code-rock for my tastes. That song is very good, though, great political lyrics.

There's a small number of bands from around the world who are still carrying the Shoegazer torch. Pia Fraus are from Tallinn, Estonia.

The first track in the player is a version of Mute The Birds they did with Ulrich Schnauss.

Well to some extent yes..in their second and expecially their third album.

Anyway i think that Vernon Reid always managed to retain his lateral dissonant approach at guitar playing
wich gave the band a very distinctive sound...
Even if the songs structures were becoming a little too much mainstream rock.

And if you think at what was going to mass hit the rock market right after them...god bless Living Color

"dissonant approach at guitar playing"

True, in fact I first heard him on John Zorn's The Big Gundown, I think LC were supposed to be his mainstream project.

And i think his best acheivement as a musician are still the various collaborations he did in the fusion or free jazz field
with people like Zorn or Bill Frisell...

Living Color was probably a trial shot at a project wich may have a big resonance...
If i remember well Vivid was partly produced by Mick Jagger and they also went live to open for the Stones
in some dates of their 1989 tour.
The potential was clearly there but it's true that they probaly falled a bit short.

The other musicans in LC were also incredibly skilled...
Muzz Skillings is probably one of the best bass player i had the pleasure to see playing live.
