Christoph it's real good to hear that you yourself notice the differences between your work and directors like Siffredi. Like gapeman I enjoyed some of the old Rocco stuff but the new stuff - whilst not wholly different in terms of what is put on the screen - just has a subtly different aesthetic and - it seems to me - a very different thought process behind it than the porn he was making about 10 years ago. I see on this and other forums people who like your work and also that of Siffredi and that confuses me a bit, because without making any kind of judgement about which is better, I do think the 2 types appeal to a very different male way of thinking and that they are somewhat "yin and yang".

I know that many a porn viewer will trot out the line that they don't really care about the guys/directorial style, it's just about the girls and if they're good looking and being fucked hard, nothing else matters. I think most porn viewers are more discerning than this, though.

I do agree that you're underrated as a director but my best advice would be to stick to your guns. More than ever just now, I think your work stands alone a bit in a sea of unpleasant macho gonzo and you'll get your dues.

Like I say, it's good to hear that you realise this as just as a watcher of porn you don't really get an insight into how a director approaches his/her work but this fully explains how your work becomes what it is and more power to you sir.
