Inspired protest song with lyrics that are still meaningful 44 years later.

The lyrics snippet on the main page reminds me of this

I'm countin' down to the day deservin' fittin' for a king
I'm waitin' for the time when I can get to Arizona
'Cause my money's spent on the goddamn rent
Neither party is mine not the jackass or the elephant

I'm still trying to get my head around the fact that michael wacko has managed to sell out 50 dates in london in record time playing to 1 million (sad?) people. Really? Do people miss this guy that much? :)
In love with Marco

Great song by Public Enemy.

First and unsurpassed Rap/Metal fusion.

Had to learn the bass line of "Open Your Eyes"
I don't like the song but the bass part is fun to play...

John and Jim goes "Shark Fishing"

Thought i'd shift this conversation here before the Sineplex crowd gets upset. Some of those guys take their gape gazing pretty seriously :P

I saw Lurie & the Lizards (including Arto Lindsey) in a small Lower Manhattan loft space way back in the early 80's. Unfortunately, i had found my gfriend's dad's stash of valium, had a few martinis at the bar and ended up on the floor slumped against the wall for most of the performance. If Coltrane himself had sat in, i wouldn't have been able to muster much interest..
